Jordan Prohuska grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. He began his education career at the Milwaukee County Zoo as a Summer Camp Counselor and eventually moved to Kansas City, Missouri to work at the Kansas City Zoo. Jordan became an Education Coordinator, running a program that gave supplies and curriculum to local elementary, middle and high school students. During that time, he received his Teaching Certification in Biology from Avila University. In the time leading up to his placement with Summit, he worked as an Independent Curriculum Writer. He spent the 2017-18 School Year as an Academic Coach at Summit Olympus, supporting students in Reading, Math and Personalized Learning Time. Jordan is excited to help students think independently, critically and creatively in the field of Biology. He wants to assist students as they find their passions and reach their goals on the way to a career they love.
